Pre-Vetting Inspections (SIRE / CDI)

Pre vetting inspections are conducted onboard Tank vessels prior a SIRE / CDI inspection in order to assess the extent to which a vessel, its staff and its management comply with international conventions, industry standards and VIQ guidelines.

A poor SIRE / CDI inspection result can directly affect vessels tradeability and thus have a direct commercial impact. Pre vetting inspections assist in identifying potential observations onboard thus minimizing or eliminating observations during a SIRE / CDI inspection.

Our team of inspectors have vast experience with SIRE / CDI inspections and have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the SIRE process. Pre vetting inspections are conducted onboard in a very professional manner, and we believe that ensuring compliance with VIQ and company’s Safety management systems will not only deliver the required results but also assist in raising up the vessels operational standards.

A detailed list of observations is prepared alongwith an inspection report and the observations alongwith corrective actions to be implemented is discussed with the onboard senior management. Knowledge and understanding of VIQ requirements is evaluated and training needs identified. We also provide the recent inspection trends which may assist ship staff onboard to prepare and eliminate potential observations.
